Tips

  • Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh paneer and fenugreek leaves for the best flavor. Fresh ingredients contribute to the overall taste and texture of the dish.

  • Balancing Creaminess: Adjust the quantity of cream to achieve the desired level of creaminess. You can add more or less based on personal preference.

  • Fenugreek Leaves: Wash the fenugreek leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities. Chop them finely to evenly distribute the flavor throughout the dish.

  • Paneer Texture: If using store-bought paneer, soak it in warm water for 15-20 minutes before using. This helps in softening the paneer cubes.

  • Spice Level: Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of red chili powder. You can also control the heat by adding green chilies according to your taste.

  • Garnish: Fresh coriander leaves add a burst of freshness to the dish. Consider adding a few chopped cashews for a crunchy texture.

  • Consistency: Adjust the consistency of the curry by adding water or milk if it becomes too thick. Similarly, simmer for longer if you prefer a thicker consistency.

  • Marination: For enhanced flavor, you can marinate the paneer cubes in a mixture of yogurt and spices for about 30 minutes before adding them to the curry.

  • Serve Hot: Methi Malai Paneer is best enjoyed when served hot. Serve it with naan, roti, or rice for a wholesome meal.

  • Experiment: Feel free to experiment with the spice blend and adjust the quantities according to your taste preferences. Personalizing the recipe can make it your own signature dish.
